Cask-conditioned at the brewpub, Acton October 2016. Golden in colour, with a small, white, head. Some citrus fruits, leafy hops, cereal malts and a dryish finish. Fine.

Handpull cask at the Aeronaut, Acton. Dark brown, opaque with a thin film of off-white head. Strong coffee dominates the heady aroma. Sour metallic taste, was expecting better. What a shame. Really ends badly.

Handpull cask at the Aeronaut, Acton. Mid-gold, hazy. A thin wisp of white head on top. Intense ammonia smell accompanies lime and tropical fruit notes. Sweet grainy taste dominated by the aroma. Flat oily finish. Not particularly great.

Handpull cask at the Aeronaut, Acton. Mid- to dark gold, clear. A half-moon of white head sits on top. Rough grain with some bittering hop. Taste doesn’t work at all. Sour and urinary with raw grain notes. I want to like it but there are major problems.
