Cask at the brewpub. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy white head. The aroma holds hay, some pale, lemon. Light sweet flavor with mellow minerality, some green apple, slight bitter hay, pale bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with light bready pale malts, more lemon and apple, grain, straw. Not the best.

Cask at the Aeronaut Acton Town. Pale amber / orange coloured pour with a lasting thin off white head. Light haze. Aroma is nice sweet raw grains, nutty, honey, little spicy hop note. Flavour is a bit tart green apple, faintly musty, tangy, little dishwater. Palate is light bodied, lowish carbonation. Some redeeming nutty malts. Not a fan.

Cask at the Aeronaut Acton Town. Clear light amber coloured pour with a lasting consistent cream head. Aroma is nice pine resin, citrus hop, little tobacco, lemon sherbet. Flavour is composed of nutty toasted malts, resinous hop, floral citrus. Assertive rounded hop bitterness, balance is good. Palate is little chewy hop resin, moderate carbonation, little sticky on the tongue. Best of the bunch tonight.

Cask at the Aeronaut Acton Town. Mid amber / copper coloured pour with a lasting cream head and a light haze. Aroma is toasted bread, cinnamon spices, little treacle, nutty. Flavour is composed of nutty, toasted malts, cinnamon, little green apple, tart tatan, palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, decent cask condition. OK ESB, spices are unusual. Little solvent note in the finish.

Cask at the Aeronaut Acton Town. Light hazed golden orange coloured pour with a thin greyish white head. Aroma is summer berry, caramel and light resin. Nose is subdued. Flavour is composed of semi sweet candied caramel, midget gem, then really harsh biting back of the throat hop bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, moderate to low carbonation, OK condition. Bitterness is a bit out of balance.

Cask at the Aeronaut Acton Town. Pale golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting thin speckled white head. Aroma is nice spicy citrus, dank hop, onion, light grains. Flavour is composed of light grains, white bread, spicy citrus hop, little chive. Assertive slightly rough hop bitterness. Palate is light, lowish carbonation. Tangy on the tongue. Drying finish.

Cask at the Aeronaut Acton Town.. Pale yellow straw coloured pour with a nice lasting consistent white head. Aroma is grain store, light eaetyyness and some berries. Flavour is composed of tangy straw grains, summer berry, straw, earthy, not much honey. Palate is light with decent cask condition. Lingering grains and light lemon citrus.

Cask at Aeronaut. It pours near black with a small tan head. The nose is sweet, chocolate cake, maltesers, roasty, caramel and coffee grounds. The taste is rich, big chocolate upfront, bitter-sweet, toasty, charred wood, oily, toffee, coffee grounds and earth with a roasty finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Rather tasty and good body. Plenty of chocolate throughout. Another good dark beer from these guys.

Cask at Aeronaut. It pours near black with a small beige head. The nose is roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, treacle and toast. The taste is bitter, rich roast, espresso coffee, earth, light acidity, burnt toast, mild pepper and dark chocolate with a smooth, sticky finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Great condition as well. Well rounded and good flavour for this abv. Solid.

Cask at the brewpub - London. Tried this a few months ago. Pours clear gold with a light, creamy white head. The nose has mellow wet hay, gras, citrus. Light sweet flavor with damp hay, leaves, smoke, minerals and plastic. Light bodied with soft carbonation; poor condition. Astringent on the finish with some rotten tangerines and more damp hay. Offensive. Hard to believe they would knowingly serve this.
