Description
Sixpoint was founded in 2004 (we like to say it was born at the dawn of civilization, though that’s a story for another time…) in the rough and tumble neighborhood of Red Hook, BKLYN. It was essentially a cult brewery — draft-only, mysterious, cryptic…

In 2010 we released our canned creations, and have been tweaking, improving, and releasing new formulations ever since. Then in May of 2017, we took our biggest step forward to date, releasing all of our ales raw and unfiltered, and simultaneously incorporating new and incredible raw materials obtained over years of sourcing.

In November 2018, Sixpoint was acquired by Artisanal Brewing Ventures.

Sampled at Beer for Beasts I actually had this one twice, but that only because by the end they ran out of most other beers. Pours a reddish copper color. Taste is hoppy and pretty good overall until you get the Hawaiian punch and once you think of that its all you can taste. now i haven’t had Hawaiian punch since childhood and this won’t have me running to my local grocery.

On tap at Beer for Beasts. Certainly clean and crisp good amount of bitterness and some bready after taste. good way to cleanse palate between other stranger brews.

Sampled at Beer for Beasts, this was one of the better offerings of the day. Pours pretty dark brown and tastes plenty piney, with some yeast, and hints of fruit, maybe some tea leaves. finishes bitter with some spicing. i’d like to try again to set myself straight on this beer.

On tap at Beer for Beasts. poured a nice yellow color and with a spicy nose. tastes of nice clean lager but with a good amount of chili spice with out being over powering. not sure my feelings on chili beers just yet but i liked it and have paired it with Calexico tacos had they let us drink outside near food at this event.

Sampled at Beer for Beasts. Citrus on nose but more like smelling Sunny D than fresh oranges. taste is slighlty spicy and more sunny d orange juice, good carbonation and easy drinking. if you know me you know low alcohol isn’t really my thing nor is adding fruit juice to beer, but i can see why I may have enjoyed this one to celebrate my kindergarten graduation.

Sampled at Beer for Beasts. One of my favorites of the day. Its was earthy, hoppy, nice amount of bitterness with plenty of pine. slight caramel stickyness but carbonated enough that it was pleasant.

Growler pours a hazy, copper amber with a cloudy, white head. Very strong, malty, grainy aroma, almost coffee like, hearty dried flour, toasted bread. Flavor is malty, bread, toasted whole grains, a little coffee, light cracker. Medium bodied, dry finish.

On tap at Beer for Beasts. Really enjoyed this offering. its was a nice brown color, and tasted woodsy, malty, perhaps some cinnamon and definitly some bready yeast coming through.

On tap at Beer for Beasts. This was like your standard DIPA in that it was slightly sticky and plenty of flavor. hoppy, vanilla, earth, and some clementine oranges.
