Description
Sixpoint was founded in 2004 (we like to say it was born at the dawn of civilization, though that’s a story for another time…) in the rough and tumble neighborhood of Red Hook, BKLYN. It was essentially a cult brewery — draft-only, mysterious, cryptic…
In 2010 we released our canned creations, and have been tweaking, improving, and releasing new formulations ever since. Then in May of 2017, we took our biggest step forward to date, releasing all of our ales raw and unfiltered, and simultaneously incorporating new and incredible raw materials obtained over years of sourcing.
In November 2018, Sixpoint was acquired by Artisanal Brewing Ventures.

Can. Amber in color with a light tan head. Aroma was slightly fruity and boozy. Taste was boozy with a taste of dried fruits and bourbon barrel.

Can at The Moon and Spoon, Slough. Aroma is grainy malt, mild but pleasant fruity hops, citrus, grassy. Flavour is nicely bitter. Body is medium. Almost an IPL, it’s that well-hopped. Very refreshing, they weren’t kidding when they named this "Crisp".

Can at home. Aroma is sweetish toasted biscuity malt, resinous hops, touch of fruits. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Hardly a smasher like the Sixpoint Crisp or Bengali, but pretty smooth and agreeable.

Can at home. Downright flawless hazy orange appearance. Aroma is huge fruity hops, peach, grapefruit, citrus peel, orange, mango, biscuity malt, big pine resin, a whole basket worth of fruits. Flavour is potently bittersweet with a lingering bitterness in the finish. Body is full, rich and smooth. I can only say "wow!", this is close to IIPA perfection for my taste. Amazingly fruity, hoppy and resinous. I think I’m in love.
