Description
Since our birth in 2013, we’ve committed ourselves to producing the highest quality beers, and being at the forefront of brewing innovation and efficiency. Early in 2014 we were the very first UK-based craft brewery to can their full core range. Customers expect their beer to be fresh and flavourful and we believe that cans - with their protection from light and superior seal, combined with lower environmental impact - help us to get them the beer in the best possible condition!
In 2018 the brewery and brand was bought by Lion Brewery of Australia, who are owned by Kirin of Japan. Lion's global craft beer subsidiary is named Little World Beverages.
In 2022 Lion breweries have sold Fourpure to Odyssey Inns.

Draft at the brewery during RBESG 2014. Pours lightly hazy yellow with a creamy white head. Balanced yeast character in the aroma, light citrus, dried wheat. Light sweet flavor with good balance, not to much wheaty sugar and not overly yeasty, light straw bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced to finish as well, pretty clean with mellow bitterness offsetting the wheat sweetness. Solid hefe.

330ml can from Bottledog, drunk on the train from the can. Crispy toast, grapefruit, citrus and an unwelcome brittle bitterness. Really not that enjoyable.

330ml can. Hazy amber colour with average to huge, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Very intensely resinous, hoppy aroma with high risk of turning to metallic, notes of pine, spruce, conifers in general. Taste is dry, resinous hoppy, slightly fruity with hints of orange, tangerine, orange zest, almost completely absorbed caramel malty sweetness, very dry, minimally chalky finish. Relatively one-sided, resin-accentuated, but of insane intensity, even a freshly hewed trunk in the middle of conifer brothers on a logging truck isn’t exposed to comparable concentrations of resinous evaporations.

RBESG pt 3. Fourpure. Bottle. Clear deep amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and crisp. Light dry malts, semi sweet. Good orangey fruits with that lovely coriander herby fruit. Light crisp finish. Very nice, can well imagine drinking this with spicy food. Nicely done.

RBESG pt 3. Fourpure. Keg. Almost clear deep gold beer, big pale cream colour head. Palate is crisp and semi dry, fine carbonation. Smooth creamy malt, whisper of caramel, barely there. Rich hops - pine, touch of marmalade and very light skunk. Strong piney finish with a notion of tropical fruits, well buried. Nice.

Keg at Fourpure. It pours lightly hazy golden with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, cereal, grain, soft fruits and marshmallow. The taste is crisp, bitter, cereal, dough, bananas, light spice, esters and light cereal with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Clean, crisp and rather drinkable.
