440ml can as part of a delivery from KWM Wines, Kilkeel and drunk at home. Very dark brown and only slightly translucent with a quickly dissipating khaki head. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, ash in the aroma. Taste is pretty bitter with a drying finish. It's let down a little bit by the watery body but all things considered it's a good dry stout.

44cl can (6,6%, 49 IBU) from brewpub Brouwerij Hoop. F: big, egg-white, good retention. C: deep gold, hazy. A: orange, grapefruits, mellow tropical fruits, caramel touch. T: medium to full malty base, orange, grapefruits, passion fruits, bit pine resin, mango, papaya, soft to medium carbonation, taste is better than aroma yet enjoyable for the style.
