Description
Lost and Grounded Brewers is a brewery in Bristol, UK, established in July 2016. We are particularly fascinated by the precision of German brewing and the idiosyncratic nature of Belgian beers, and we chose the brewhouse of our dreams that could help us make these wonders of fermentation.

440ml can. Clear golden amber, white head. Aroma of resin, pine, grapefruit peel. Taste is citrusy, orange, grapefruit, marmalade, caramel malts, slightly tropical as well, bitter finish. Another very solid entry to the series.

Clear golden colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have light citrus notes. Pale malt sweetness. Touch of bitterness in the finish. Nice balance.

Can from Beer 542 – drank at home. Pours almost black with a sizeable frothy but transient beige head. Brunt malts to the fore in the aroma, alongside some treacle and straw. In the mouth int is slightly watery with creamy roast malts the main flavour. Also there are milk chocolate, dark fruits, spices and just a hint of lemon. Spices come to the fore in the finish. This is quite nice.

Struggling to accept this is an oatmeal stout, looks like an old ale: dark brown with a small bubbly off-white head. It’s more fruity than malty, and a little thin, without a great deal of roasted-ness going on. Pleasant enough mind
