Bottle. Pours hazy leathery brown with large white foamy head. Aroma is malty and fermented with notes of ripe fruit, dark bitter chocolate, (red wine) vinegar, plums and prunes. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter in good balance. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is long, smooth and light sweet with notes of malt, caramel, baked chestnuts, chocolate and balsamic vinegar. Very well balanced and rich.

Bottle (Helsinki Beer Festival 2010) - Shared with Doggythedog and Tbone. Amber with a slight haze. Slightly fruity aroma with fried fruit and toffee. The taste is fruity, malty and has hints of caramel, nuts and toffee. Not bad, but the chestnuts are not as noticeable as I thought they would be.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at HBF2010) Poured dark brown and cloudy with small and white head. Aroma contained malts, alcohol and chestnut. Palate was full bodied and dry with quite a lot of carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, caramell, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Not an ordinary barley wine.

Bottled at HBF 2010, shared with SaintMatty and TBone. Poured an amber-red body with a small white head. Malty, meaty nose, chewy, some alcohol too. Light fruity background, some maltiness, nicely sweet but unimpressive.

Hazy, a bit murky amber color, small steady white head. Light spicey-yeasty nose. Quite yeasty flavor. Spicies, grassy hops (also cat piss!), malts. RB says Belgian ale. Ok .. Belgian ale with pils touch! Glu glu!

Hazy-murky yellow head, small white head. Nose has green apples, apple peels and sugar. Palate is thin. Flavor is dry, green apples, light sourness. Simple and light but interesting. Could have more alcohol ...

Pale yellow color, small white head. Light citrus and wheat in the nose. Sourish, acidic, lemon. Spicey finish. Italian witbier, which is not very exicting.
