Appearance is golden and very clear. A white head which quickly disappears. Lots of carbonation. Aroma- creamy malt, toffee, citrus fruits, cut grass, hop resin. Taste- plenty of bitter hops, cereal, lemons, malt undertones, short and dry finish. Refreshing.

On cask at the Green Dragon. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - creamy toffee and light biscuit. Taste - tangy toffee and more biscuits. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - a solid bitter. Didn’t think it was a golden ale.

Bottle shared @ Rover during RBScSG. Pours very hazy burnt orangish brown with a frothy brownish goldenish beige head that leave some thick trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and fruity estery with sweet dark bread, caramel, biscuits, baked pears, figs, hay and alcohol. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, malty and fruity. Mouthfeel is soft, round, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with sweet dark bread, caramel, biscuits, baked pears, figs, hay and brandy alcohol. Quite nice... Solid malts and suiting fruity esters.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, March 2015. Amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Very sweet, as most Bath Ales beers are, with a touch of citrus fruit and moderately bitter finish Not my kind of beer.

Gravity cask at the Lady Lane Wharf beer festival, June 2015. Poured a dark brown colour with a thin whispy white head. The aroma is sweet malt, treacle toffee. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light sweet butterscotch, woody resin hop palate. Moderate to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Appearance is clear and copper, a small beige head. Aroma- raisin, caramel malt, toffee, nutty. Taste- sweet breads, yeasty, caramel, hint of dark fruits, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Nice stuff.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 2nd June 2015. Copper with a disappearing off-white laceless foam. Malty aroma with fruity hops. Very malty in-mouth with plenty of caramel and a little nuttiness - hazelnut. Malty and nutty finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.
