Draught @ The Blind Burro, San Diego. Aroma is mild with fruit candy and sweet peaches. Flavour has fruit candy, weird plastic notes and some sweet resiny-ish malt. Finishes with hints of berry juice. A bit messy and weird.

22oz bomber pours with a clear gold body that supports a thin off white head. The aroma pushes up earthy spicy dankness with thin citrus and tropical fruit notes around the edges. The taste unleashes a blend of citrus fruity hops and spicy onion like dankness. It delivers fleeting thin citrus juiciness but a generous bitter hop spiciness. Toward the finish mild sweet malts come to the surface to join the tasty hops. This is hitting the spot right now. It is bitter hop forward and only mildly juicy. At times pineapple comes through to mingle with the citrus and spicy dank hops. Solid. I’d drink more of this any time.

Dark with a firm tan head. Sweet chocolate, malt, vanilla, bourbon without the booze. Full bodied. Decent but there is something that isn’t jiving with me here.

From a 650ml bottle on 3/3/2015. Pours the deepest, darkest brown, with a small to medium tan head. Has a gorgeous powerful aroma of coffee, with some cocoa in the mix. The flavour is dominated by coffee, and ably assisted by dark and milk chocolate, with just a hint of dark fruit and soy in the background. Sweet but not overly so, with a moderate to firm roasty bitterness countering. Has a creamy palate and average carbonation. A really well made, beautifully balanced impy.
