Cask at CBC Clerkenwell, London during the Birthday Celebration of Jack & Leighton - thanks to Colin for sharing. Pours clear brown with a fine, tan cream head. Nice roasty malt nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with moderate roast, dry cocoa and dark bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Light bitter earth in the finish, faintly tangy, with more dark malts, light baking cocoa. Good stout.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Thinnish palate. Bitterish start and a smoky finish. Not much inbetween. Not fond of bitter/smoke combinations. 2.4

Opaque black stout, tidy tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate. Tangy dark malts with a little roast and a pronounced fruity tang. Bitter and roasty finish. Really quite fruity but the late bitterness is a bit much.
