Description
Trillium Brewing Company was founded by JC and Esther Tetreault, a young dumb couple in love, planning their wedding and dreaming about how they would spend their lives together. The desire to build a brewery was about more than just making beer, it was about creating a way of life and building a community with which to share experiences. A beer geek and botany nerd, JC chose the trillium flower to represent what we strive to bring to our beer and our lives: beauty, strength, simplicity, and balance. We operate a brewery and taproom in Canton, MA as well as a full service restaurant and brewery in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. We also operate seasonal pop-up beer gardens around the city of Boston under the Trillium Garden project.

Draft at Paragon, 7/3/25. Hazy yellow, bright white head, light lace. Pineapple, grapefruit, mango, and orange. Nicely balanced with an earlier, light sweetness and a later moderate bitterness. Highly drinkable. Finished a little tingly and liners on the mouth. Quality, enjoyable.

Canned 6/10/25, drunk 7/2/25.
Heavily hazy with a small, white head.
Citrus, heavy spice and light pineapple with light white grape and mineral. Cracker-like malts support gently and there's typical house character (cellar, mineral).
Soft and malty but with lots of biscuit and cracker. Spice and white grape up front but a rather twangy pineapple character builds up very quickly, lingering with peppery, herbal bitterness. Great texture and attenuation, but can't quite shake that twangy, heavy herb-unripe pineapple character.

Can from the Packie
Hazy murky light straw with a decent frothy white head that persists. Lemony earthy grassy with hints of tropical against a restrained bready backbone. Kind of chunky in the mouthfeel and the body doesn't seem to hold it up. Trillium makes better beers but this one is serviceable.

Got this pounder can for a buck off the clearance shelf at JR's! Pours like a milk shake IPA. Sweet perfumy IPA hops nose. Whew, for the taste; big bitter ass IPA impact, dead on style. Says its a pale ale, I don't think so. This is IPA fer sher,, truthfully, honestly, for real, seriously and no cap crap! I'm even getting a slight warming sensation even tho its less than 6%. Big nasty disagreeably disgusting distasteful awfully dreadful horrible and terribly vile for any macro lager lover. Yes, really really on style. Taste could even pass for an impy IPA. Think chewing on a fresh rubber motorcycle innnertube while drinking the dregs of turpentine mixed with rotting fermenting green grapefruit rinds. Way to ruin my taste buds for a while there trilly. Mouth coating nearly flat impact. Somebody get me an ice cold macro pale light lager for for a chaser, thanks. There, you have it.

Bottle from Benny’s place, Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black in colour with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is roasty, herbal, sweet biscuit caramel. The flavour is over moderate sweet and liquorice bitter, with a sugary, toffee, cookie dough, warm boozy, alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation . Big, smooth, rich and nicely balanced.
