Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours cloudy golden with a small creamy white head. Smoked and meaty. A bit of grain. Odd infection - but not horrible. Medium bodied.

Cask gravity at Gbbf 2011. Clear gold thick cream head. Some yeast some hop on aroma. Some rubber too. Not good. Despite the big head the conditipn is poor. The rubber is undrinkable. Pretty much horriblesome hop on finish but in a third pint i couldnt drink more than a few millilitres

Black color; very large head (too much carbonation?). Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, light liquorice, light bitter herbs, and a vein of sourness. Good body strength, good dark caramel and coffee flavor; but the acidity from the dark malts is too high; the roastiness has a major participation in trhe final.

Bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge, 03.06.11 consumed that same evening at Crystal Palace campsite, London Pours mid brown, quite muddy, but to be fair it had been dragged around Cambridge in my small rucksack and then in the camper, totally my fault as I forgot to leave it undisturbed (schoolboy error) I’ll give it an average rating and won’t mark it down on appearance. Some citrus in the mouth but also a very slight sourness at the edges, not enough to make me too concerned but its there all the same. Some lemon and a long lingering bitterness, its fine.
