Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Loads of beers shared with ChrisO and Harrisoni - Cheers! Hazy and very dark brown beer. Residual tan head. Light dry palate. Very mild dark malt flavour with some nice dried fruits. A well integrated mellow smoke joins up nicely. Tasty little beer!

Cask gravity at Colchester BF 2011. Clear gold thin white head. Lovely American hoppy flavour. Really good hops good golden ale or really a proper APA given the hop and strength. Very decent

Cask gravity at Colchester BF 2011. Amber colour with slight haze and no real head. Touch of syrupy rubber on the sweet hop aroma. Plenty of fruity hop in the mouth with peach and apricot. Then a satisfying hop sting on finish. Finish lasts nicely. Some condition in the mouth helps. Tasty enough UK version of an American IPA

Warning! Early amateur rating! On tap at the Sun Inn, Kelvedon. Fruity and zesty start with a distinct smoky finish. Pretty drinkable.

Bottle from Memorable Cheeses, Ipswich. Quite enjoyable, though had hoped it would be a little more impressive as an 8% Imperial Stout. Poured out flat and just seemed to lack something overall.
