Description
Started brewing in May 2007. A 5BBL plant was used and was based at Station Approach, Harwich. In mid-2018, the brewery ceased brewing on it's own site and started operating as a cuckoo brewer based at the Red Fox Brewery in Colchester.
In 2023 a combined brewery with the Witham brewery was established which will be known as Wharf Brewery Ltd.

27/1/2023. Cask at the 14th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours clear dark amber brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of dried fruits, malt, toffee, brown sugar, boozy notes. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily, soft carbonation. Quite drinkable.

29/7/2022. Cask at The Harwich Redoubt Beer Festival 2022. Pours clear pale golden with a bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, straw. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, light tart edge. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Enjoyed this.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a dark brown with a reddish edge, head is beige. Aroma is dark dried fruits, veggie, malts. Taste is bitter, dark fruits, toffee, malts.

Cask at the dove Ipswich. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a a fine white head. Aroma is semi sweet, orange rind, apricot, earrhy grains. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded, English yeast esters, orange rind, apricot. Ok. Palate is semi sweet rounded. Ok cask condition.
