Cask pint: hand-pulled on 24th Oct 2014 in the lovely Castle Hotel, Bamburgh Northumberland. Good looking beer, true amber body with a full head. Pleasant blend of aromas and taste with equal strengths of light maltiness and slightly bittering hops. Went very well with the hot Chicken Balti than I had for lunch.

Bottle courtesy of Isobel (cheers Isobel), consumed at Isobel’s, Saturday 11th October 2014 Pours good, good clarity with white head, looks good. An earthy english hoppiness, it holds a steady bitterness. Dryish at end it’s fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

Cloudy golden ale with a very thin head. Has a large pale aroma, but is less so in taste which has a malty base to it, and a pleasant one.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear deep golden with a rough white head. Typical somewhat dusty British hop aroma combined with a light fruitiness. Medium body, sweet fruits and a dry finish. Decent. 301011

My 8700th Rating. Bottle @ Ulfborg, Early Winter Tasting, 2011. Pours clear golden with a creamy head and lacings. Lots of citrus and bread. Medium bodied. Plain and simple. OK.

Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer topped by a small, dense, off-white head. It’s lightly spiced on the nose, with a good dash of dried orange peel. Not much maltyness. The flavor too is rather orangey, with a little maltyness in the back. Lacking on bitterness I think. Medium body, with a nice level of carbonation, although not a very British level. Orangey and lighlty bitter finish. A beer I like, but it’s a bit boring. Drinks easily though. 111105
