Handpull cask at the Three Crowns, Oakham. Light tawny brown, not really Ruby. Clear with a small white head. Considerable lacing. Sulphur-dominated aroma with notes of caramel and red berries. Sweetish taste, emphasising the sulphurous notes but quite tasty nonetheless. As basic as a bitter gets, but still pretty good.

Cask half-pint in The Three Crowns, Oakham on 15th March 2016. Clear amber hue to the deep orange/brown body, good lacing from the off-white head. Aroma was an easy blend of light malts, nuts and grassy hops. The flavour was semi-sweet yet with a bitter undertone. A typical English Bitter, I liked it.

Two hand-pulled half-pints in The Three Crowns, Oakham on 15th March 2016. Easy drinking bitter, hence the second half. Golden/amber with a white, stable head. Pleasant blend with the malts just about winning in both the aroma and flavour stakes over the bittering hops.
