Description
We are seven actual brothers of the McAvoy family from Salford who love beer (we also have four sisters who love gin). It was our Dad who first got us into beer – he used to home brew when we were kids and so for us, there’s a lovely nostalgia in everything about beer. We brew our beer in Salford, where we also have our Tap Room – you can come over and visit any time!

33cl bottle from beer52.com at 5% ABV. Amber with a trace of white head; slightly musty aroma with some pineapple and other fruit; lots of trpoical fruit in the mouth, with some sweet red grapefruit dominating; and a bitter grapefruit finish. Rather good.

Clear gold - amber beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry and a little crisp. Thin malts, a little dry dust. Good orange peel and marmalade hops with touches of tangerine and lemon. Some juicy citrus before a light dry finish. Peel bitter linger. Decent but dry.

Hazy amber - gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is dry and crisp. Light thin malts, not that sweet. A little dry dusty grain. Pithy citrus - grapefruit, little orange and a whisper of apricot. Mild floralness. Touch of esters before a dry finish. Pithy bitter linger. Nice flavours but a dusty dry.

Light haze on this gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry and minerally crisp. Light thin malts with some dusty grain. There is indeed a touch of strawberry amid the marmalade hops. 5256 hops? The elderflower is really quite subtle. Light dry finish. Not bad but less grain would be better.

33cl bottle from beer52.com. Deep mahogany with a ring of cream froth; aroma of richly roasted malts, with a touch of chocolate, earth and nuts; more deeply roasted malts in the mouth giving coffee and demerara sugar flavours; and a sweet earthy bitterness to finish. Pleasant and very moreish.

Cask @ Rising Sun, Manchester. Slightly paler golden coloured ale with a creamy head. Hoppy with a small citric tropical fruit aroma and taste with some floralness about the ale too.

Cask @ Rising Sun, Manchester. Dark but not black, with a small off-white creamy head. Has a slightly milky texture and taste to its roasted malt that gives it a gentle smoothness in the palate.
