BIAB at Half Moon, Darlington. Orangey gold colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of rhubarb, caramel. Taste is sweet, rhubarb, sugar syrup, toffee, caramel, vanilla, some apple notes. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet finish. OK.

Handpull at the Bowling Green, Leicester. Dark gold, cloudy, almost completely flat. Sharp scent of cider vinegar. Taste is surprisingly sweet. It's a bit harsh and boozy but enjoyable anyway. A bit of an unfortunate aftertaste which is both sour and saccharin at the same time. By no means absolutely terrible but there are issues.

Hazed deep golden color with a small bubbly head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a soft carbonation level. Unbalanced sweet and a bit oily texture. Overripe apples in the flavor. Just to sweet.

500ml bottle. Hazy pinkish peach. Much more vibrant fruity rhubarb this time with a soft fuzzy feel. Re-rate. Half from a plastic milk bottle @ Stratford Alehouse. Pours a hazy peach. Decent-enough fruity rhubarb aroma, taste has a pleasing rhubarb presence, moderately sweet, some vanilla. Like all the other Lilleys fruit ciders, it’s not aiming for ultimate flavour complexity.. but for a light fruity rhubarb cider it does the job.

Box @ Stratford Alehouse. Pours a hazy pinkish purple. Fruity berry-like aroma. Taste has no perry characteristics.. it’s a still, fruity drink with a bit of alcohol in I guess. Does have some Robinsons pear and raspberry cordial notes to it. Harmless enough, and quenched our thirst after a walk round Shakespeare’s home-town.
