Owned and ran by father and son, Chris and Marc Lilley. Our Cidery is based in the heart of Somerset, England. Since starting the business in 2007, Chris and Marc Lilley still have a very active role within the business where they share their cider knowledge with the team and head all current development of new and old ciders alike. They are passionate about creating modern English cider pushing beyond traditional styles by incorporating only the most delicious fruit and ingredients to make delightful, memorable cider.

Cask (handpump) @ Annies Burger Shack, 5 Broadway, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire England NG1 1PR. [ As Lilleys Merry Monkey ].Unclear - hazy medium orange color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, sweet apples, sugary apples, orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration, sugary apples, apple, orange. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. [20141012]

Cask (handpump) @ The Falcon Inn, Canning Circus - 1 Alfreton Road, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG7 3JE. [ As Lilleys Mango Cider ].Clear light to medium yellow color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate apple, mango, artificial mango, sugary, sweet fruit - mango. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration, sugary, mango, syrupy - juicy, apple notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. [20141013]

On draught at the Old Vic, Darlington. Hazy orange-gold colour, no head and aroma of apple, vinegar. Taste is tangy apple, apple skins, bittersweet, barnyard, wood & rubber, with drying tannins, warm boozey. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

500ml bottle takeout from Stable Bar, Birmingham. Pours deep reddish brown with large beige head that gradually recedes. Aroma is cola. Taste is flat cola. Can’t detect any cidery elements, I’m sure there is some in there but to me it’s pretty much all flat Happy Shopper rola cola.

Box @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Hazy dirty-yellow in colour. Has a sweetened and slightly dry tasting apple.

Draught @ White Lion, Heptonstall. Hazy amber-orange in colour. Has a sweetened apple nose, but it’s its strength which dominates in its taste, although apple is still evident here also with a fair sweetness.

Easy-drinking cider. Pear drop sweets aroma. Plenty of candi sugar and toffee. Syrupy. Medium-dry. Descent enough.

Draft @ Queen’s Head, Kings Cross WC1. Pours a pale yellow color with a small fast disappearing white head. Has a fruity spicy apple and pear aroma. Fruity spicy apple and pear flavor. Has a fruity spicy pear finish with hints of apple.
