Bottle at home. Bought at Hog’s Back Brewery. Vague apple cider aroma. Medium gold. Quite bubbly but just the head is limited to a few white strands. Sour - initially quite tart before fading away. Light bodied. Soft, a small amount of carbonation and then a subdued, if not abrupt, finish. Nice but after the initial sour hit it doesn’t sustain interest.

500ml Bottle - Black in colour. Plain chocolate, raisins and hints of cold coffee in the aroma. Roasted and rich taste with plain chocolate, molasses, raisins and coffee detected. Nicely balanced and easy to drink yet potent all the same.

Bottle from Bitter Virtue Soton and drunk at home. Slightly hazy amber colour lasting beige head. Citrus hoppy aroma. Grapefruit lemon and tangerine aroma and flavours. Yes you can tell they’ve gone to town on the hops. Not bitter. Just a lot of citrus flavours. Decent. OK malt. Bit of lime. OK.

On the SilkTork Southampton through the looking glass tour. On tap at Chalk Valley burger bar. Clear gold lasting white head. Lime aroma. Like a sour lime cordial. No lactic character. Tasty sour. Feels like someones dumped some lime juice into it though. Quite balanced.

Cask at Egham Beer Festival, 11/11/16. Floral, with a sweet spiced hoppyness. A dark, hazy, amber. Thin but bubbly white head. Sweet, a hoppy edge. Quite light bodied, but does have a textured mouthfeel.

Cask at Egham Beer Festival, 11/11/16. A waft of bitter chocolate. Dark in the extreme, verging on no longer qualifying as being brown. Blotchy off-white head. An initial medium bitterness, gradually gets more hoppy. Soft and creamy.
