Hazy pale copper with a white head. Full of citrus, grapefruit, light candied fruit, and more grapefruit. Thin body. Finish is mostly grapefruit juice with light sugars. Easy and tasty, if you like grapefruit. At 5.5% the body is a bit thin. A fuller feel would boost this one up a bit.

Draft - Lots of barrel and wood notes with some caramel sweetness. Cloudy brown with no head. Raisin, date and bourbon notes. This was served as something else, so unfortunately the rating number wise may be a bit lower as it wasn’t presented as a barley wine.

Draft - Sweet whisky barrel notes. Clearish copper with a decent white head. Sweet whisky barrel notes and not much else.

On tap at WA Winter Beer Festival 2015, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a small white head. Aroma smells like a BA barley wine, with caramel, bourbon, and dark fruits. Flavour is along the same lines, with dates, figs, bourbon and oak. Well-balanced, with not too much sweetness, nor booze. Excellent.

On tap at WA Winter Beer Festival 2015, pours a hazy dark orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma is brutal, with harsh wood and whiskey barrels - that's all there is. Flavour is a huge mess of a whiskey barrel bomb - lots of whiskey, booze and oak. Absolutely brutal. Not offensive but it's anything but elegant or refined. Okay.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and a very dry crusty bready quality. Flavour is along the same lines, showcasing toasted malt, crusty bread and a nice pungent hop character providing great balance. Really quite nice - better than the average would have you believe.

Bottle from Albertsons. Nice looking pour, dark, but clear brown, with small silky head. Aroma seems to be a no-show, not bad, just not there. Taste is very light toasted malts, mild finish, seems watery. One of the first disappointing beers from No-Li.

Draft - Light hops and Amber malts. Deep, dark maroon with a light beige head. Sweet nice hops and light Amber malts. Much lighter and happier than the color would suggest.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Brown color, apparently cloudy, with small head. A lot of orange peel in the aroma, and flavor; the body is not weak, but on the dry side; the flavor of dark malts is rather anonymous, and gets a bit roasty in the final; it has a light minty trace; ordinary bitterness.
Is this supposed to be a "spiced" zesty winter Ale? Maybe use a stronger base to warm the soul; it’s an OK beer, nothing I would long for though.
