22oz bottle picked up at Total Wine
Pours clear dark amber with a small off-white head, spotty lacing. Aroma is medicinal, caramel and band aid. Taste of toasted malts, caramel, herbal, pine with a medicinal aftertaste, hot alcohols
This was not good. The warmer it got the worse it was. I’ve had this bottle 3 months. I’d hate to try it after a few more.

Radlers are usually low in alcohol, part of their appeal for thirst quenching. At 7.5%, this is a heavyweight. Sour cherries dominate the aroma and taste. Nice looking pour into my Lindeman’s flute, clear dark brown with soft, fluffy, lasting head, lots of lacing too. Not bad, but what would be the right time for this beer> Dessert?

22 Oz waxed bottle poured and split. Thanks Chris C. for sharing. Pours a pink tinted golden color with with an odd winish aroma. Flavor is similar to a cherry juice infused champagne. Sour berry flavor is nice, but there is something a little odd here. Biting finish. Not bad, more just strange. Has potential.

Beer #7 of 13 in blind tasting.
This to me was the most boring and average in the tasting. I actually guessed this correctly, the only one I was correct on. Bitter malt present. Not particularly "rich" or hoppy or anything.
In the aggregate it fell 2nd to worst, moderately-strongly below average.

from a bottle can smell big dull ipa clear over here. a darker ipa fer sure but certainly not black. wew, packs a pine flavored spruce ipa impact fer sure. strong bitter almost astringent after taste following each swig. on style except for that sharp astringent palate on the finish. yes, rudeness borders on double ipa or triple territory with its rude penetrating ipa finish, wew. difficult to absorb.

This is poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy dark amber color with a slim finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated immediately. Barely any lacing appeared.
The smell had a full malty caramel sweetness with an adequate sticky vanilla leading to a decent dry hoppy spiced tobacco aroma.
The taste was mainly sweet with the tobacco here and there to balance. There’s a super dry sticky caramel aftertaste leading to a dry sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. It’s pretty dry as it rolls across my tongue.
Overall, I say it was a decent American Barleywine. The hops seemed to be in the right place for an American Barleywine. However, it was a bit dryer than most barleywines.

Oh my, from a bottle this is a really dark beer with a thin choko moose head. Big coffee flavors fer sure on the first bite. Can make you think you are drinken a cold coffee from outside of western PA around groundhog day. Does not necessarily smell like the way it tastes. Smells like very light coffee on the nose. Yes, roll up the ol’ sleeves dude. Does have a bitter coffee thing on the finish, go figger.

Bottle. Caramel malt and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy amber with small head. Sweet orange caramel malt and moderately bitter lime peel/pine flavor. Medium body.

Bottle: Cloudy, brown/amber with a short beige head. Musty orange, caramel scent. Taste is orange-peel, herbal hops, resin... Straightforward bittering... Ok, but nothing outstanding....

Opaque black - brown beer, tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, malt cream. Bitter licorice starts to dominate. Trace of coffee. Smooth and bitter finish. Decent.
