A hint of coffee, adds some extra bitterness to this sweet stout. Elements of dark chocolate and burnt toast, black, slippery body, small beige creamy head, aroma of semi-sweet dark chocolate. All around smooth and drinkable.

Bottle shared at chriso’s Post-GBBF 2014 Tasting - London. Pours clear yellow with a bubbly white head. So so, some dough, citrus, melon. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sweet to finish with small bitterness, dry pale malts, bubblegum. So so.

Bottle: Golden peach color with a thin, creamy white head. The nose isn’t as intense as what I’d expect from an IBU bomb, but the citrus and tropical fruit comes together nicely. Soft and inviting. Good hop flavors throughout; citrus, pine, and tropical fruits. Potent and strong, but not overly hot or bitter.

Bottled at SBWF. Black, small head. Huge earthy coffee aroma. Sweet with medium body and clean rounded mouthfeel. Coffee, coffee, coffee and more coffee. Low-medium bitterness. I like coffee...

Bottle shared at the Great British Beer Festival 2014, Day 1 - London. Thanks to James! Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Earthy, with old grapes, burnt malts, roast, alcohol. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Warming finish with strong char, bitter cocoa. Not very cohesive.

Medium brown, very coffeeish nose, smells more like coffee than my morning coffee. Sweet, coffeeish with brown sugar. Mellow, and the abundant sweetness really helps the coffee.

Bottled@SBWF2014. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is very much roasted coffee, some toasted malts and mild chocolaty notes. Flavour is coffee, very much roasted malts, mild liquorice and some slight chocolaty notes to it as well. Big time coffeebomb, but in a good way.

Poured from the tap. Black with beige head. Strong aroma of roast malt. Same flavour with some dusty notes and a mild sweet lactose. Interesting finish with a subtle touch of chocolate.
