Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Dan the Man for sharing this whale. Pours murky gold with a frothy, white head. It doesn't small good, but it tastes OK. Notes of ripened citrus, light leather, marmalade. Full bodied with subtle carbonation. Warming finish. Decent overall, considering.

17th Aug 2020; Shrewsbury Monthly Gathering in Chez Sophie (only four of us this time). Cheers Mike for the evenings 'Cobweb Beer' (we always have at least one aged/old beer per meeting). A 640ml bottle, number 02017 of ? Still in it's original box. Slight haze to the deep mahogany body, wisp on top. Plums and tired malts, actually it has aged fairly well and must have been a fantastic beer back in 1999.

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, August 2020. Thanks Mike for bringing this 24 year old beauty. Pours amber mahogany, no lasting head. Cakey, plummy nose. Taste brings rich fruitake, amber malts, harmoniously light palate, some cherry hints, no noticeable oxidisation, aged wonderfully. Nice sipper.

Bottle split at L6, thanks to Danny for this vintage treat , 22/08/19. Watery looking mahogany brown with a thin beige cap - no looker! Nose is dried fruits, residual sugars, brown bread, raisins, toffee. Taste comprises bitter fruit rinds, oxidised kiss, fruit slice, dark malts, raisins, dusty tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad for the age.

Bottle shared at the columbus tasting 22/08/2019. Many thanks to Daniel Osprey! A light haxed borwn orange coloured pour with a vanilla, oak, apple, crayon, vanille/. . Flavour is composed of tangy, woody , brown ,tangy. Palte is tangy, woody, moderate carboantion. Held up very well.

Bottle at home.. Christmas 2019... 1996 vintage... Deeply copper.. Thin white lacing.. Soft sweet caramel toffee fruit nose.. Soft caramel cardboard.. Soft blackcurrant.. Soft sweet caramel.. Juicy sweet.. This is amazing

Level 6 Bottleshare. Thanks to Dan. Cloudy brown beer, residual pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry, some very mild carbonation. Tangy fruits. Oxidised caramel. Touch of tea. Light finish. Not bad. Still drinkable and still tasty albeit much different to when it was fresh 26 years ago.
