Description
Congleton raised Nick Calvert set up Front Row Brewing as an artisan bespoke brewery in 2012. Alongside his striving business in textile printing he wanted to use his passion in real ale to open his own brewery. As a ex prop in rugby player for Congleton and Sandbach rugby clubs it was only fitting that the theme of the brewery to follow suit.

Handpull cask at the Beer Shack, Hucknall. Light to mid-golden and clear with an uneven froth of white head. Grassy aroma, light citrus, some bready malt. Tastes amazing, briefly sweet with notes of apricot, changing quickly to a keen hoppy bitterness..light to medium body, soft carbonation. A nice cask pale ale.

Cask at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, yeasty, wet blanket. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, smooth, somewhat rich, yeasty barnyard, dry woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

I once had a football training session with Chelsea legend Peter Osgood. This beer 'is good', albeit golden session material, but smoothish, nice in the palate and sits well in the glass.
