Bottle from Wegman's. Dark gold and clear, with light to medium body and strong blueberry nose. Blueberry is not pronounced in the taste, which is hoppy but not so nice. There are better choices in this style.

12 fl oz bottle from Nikki’s Liquors, Providence, 1.79 $. Pours out dark golden with an one finger white head. Really some blueberry on the nose. Taste strats with blueberry, but also present malt in the background. Soft palate. Not too sweet. Increasing malt in the secondpart. Nice one of its kind.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a dark amber/brown color with a finger’s worth of quickly dissipating semi-foamy head. Lace was sliding.
The aroma had some milk chocolate, roast, marshmallow and alcohol.
The flavor was sweet mainly through the prior mentioned aromas, roastiness was somewhat there, but super faint. Aftertaste was pretty boozy. Finish was boozy and sticky.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with not much sessionability about it - that booziness seems to hit bit more than expected. Carbonation felt fine.
Overall, that marshmallow in this combined with the booziness which the more I think about it, the more it seemed excessive.

Bottle to tulip, the appearance was a golden bronze color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Not much lace, somewhat sliding.
The aroma had some grassy sweet to vinous sweet and slightly sour semi-citrusy to dried floral components.
The flavor was vinously sweet and grassy with citrusy pulpiness. Aftertaste was vinous. Finish was spritzy and vinous.
The palate was almost medium bodied with a decent semi-sipping quality about it. Carbonation was somewhat heavy but not burdensome, almost. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, interesting sort of Belgian ale, wondering if wine fans would like this. Me, I can’t really see myself coming back to this.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a burnt orange to almost amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Sly lace.
The aroma had some semi-sweet grassy tones, earthiness, floral quality, piney/resin hops and a delicate herbal quality underneath.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a decent rising underscore of the hops pumping in a slight hop bitterness.
The palate was almost medium bodied, seemed just a touch under. Sessionability was there. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, nice IPA that I think I could come back to.

Bottle to becher pint glass, the appearance was a slight burnt copper to amber color with a finger’s worth of eggshell white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Some lace.
The aroma had some caramel/toffee malts playing with a little bit of woody notes. Slight cereal grains, and a touch of earthiness.
The flavor was moderately malty sweet with barely any of the earthiness there for any sort of balancing quality. Aftertaste was malty smooth and clean. Finish was malty.
The palate was almost medium bodied, seemed to sit just a touch under. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected.
Overall, pretty nice clean well fed amber ale. I could do this again.

Bottle to snifter, the appearance was a black color with a cap of a little white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Sly lace, somewhat runny.
The aroma had some black licorice, milk chocolate, mild coffee roast, dried leaves and a touch of vanilla.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a touch of the black licorice sly spice to amplify the overall taste. Nice aftertaste of the spice to the milk chocolate. Finish was semi-smooth.
The palate was medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. ABV did feel as projected. Carbonation felt almost on par, it did seem a touch under to be honest.
Overall, a mostly good imperial porter worthy of more pours.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-burnt orange color with a cap of a little white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Sliding messy lace.
The aroma had some orange pulpy sweetness, sweet grass, lemon sweetness, bitter pine and a little bit of floral. Cracker to caramel maltiness follows in slightly.
The flavor was malty sweet initially and developed some hop bitterness as it warmed. Semi-malty aftertaste and finish.
The palate was medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected by the brewer.
Overall, pretty good IPA, west coast styled, yeah, I dig this.

Bottle to snifter, the appearance was a jet black color with a tan filmy head. Sliding concave lace.
The aroma had some milk and dark chocolate, light char/ash, some grainy sweetness with a little bit of toast.
The flavor blended extremely nicely between the bitter to the roast to the sweet and followed through very nice into the aftertaste and on into the finish.
The palate was medium bodied with a good sturdy sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate. Nice balance of roasty grip to smooth sweet semi-silkiness along my tongue.
Overall, was a very nicely done imperial stout that I wish Newport would do again.

Bottle to mug, the appearance was a murky amber color with a fingers worth of white foamy head that slid off at a decent pace. Some light lace.
The aroma had some roasted malts, light nutty sweetness, some toast, light floral to herbal quality and then some dried leaves.
The flavor was moderately sweet through the prior mentioned aromas to carry over in the aftertaste and finish.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine and light. ABV felt right.
Overall, seemed like a decent Irish red ale worthy of more pours.
