Cask at the Dove Street Inn Winter Festival, 2017. Pours black with a very small off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruits, coffee and liquorice. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium plus body, slick texture, fine carbonation. Not exceptional, but very good, and stand out beer at the winter festival.

Can, picked up at Friday Street Farm Shop, Suffolk. Light amber. Thin, sticky, lasting, white head. Nose has stewed citrus. Ripe berry fruits. Some hop spice. Some stone fruit. Taste has an initial sweetness, turning, pithy, pulped citrus bitter. A little sticky and juicy on the palate. Finish is oily bitter, with some sappy stickiness.

Hint of dried strawberry. Taste is crisp and mineraly bitter, with some dryness. Sweetness comes at the back end. Clean mouthfeel. Good level of hop oiliness. Citrus and pine resin to finish. Great stuff.

Can split at bottle shop druid Street. A mostly clear golden orange coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is nice mellow dank, sticky citrus fruit, mango, orange rind, tangerine. Flavour is composed of semi sweet sticky hop, mango, burnt orange rind, little petrol, plastic. Assertive citrus hop bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, frothy carbonation, semi drying finish. Nice.

Keg at We Brought Beer, Clapham Junction. Aroma is dark chocolate and coffee with a boozy edge. Deep and dark. Thinning but creamy beige head. Sweet. Sugared coffee with some playful spices. Gains bitterness into the finish. Medium bodied. Low fat cream texture. Soft carbonation. Slightly astringent finish. Nice enough. A polite impy stout. Perhaps too polite?

Keg at We Brought Beer, Clapham Junction.24/11/17. There is some pineapple but it's really a cider-esque aroma for me. Opaque golden yellow. Thin but creamy white head. Medium sour. Salty into finish. Restrained pineapple.Medium bodied. Slick. Light fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Pleasant. Refreshing. No sour overkill.
