This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was basically a slightly hazy burnt orange color with no head nor lacing.
The smell had a sweet citrus to bitter citrus over top of sweet caramel malts.
The taste was mainly sweet through the hops and malts. There’s a decent background of bitterness there, it’s just not substantially over the top. There’s a lingering sweet hops to malts aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs like an AIPA, substantially smooth enough to fulfill a nice bitterness.
Overall, nothing bad, it’s just nothing over the top. Could make a decent grilling beer.

Location: 12 oz can from Nikki's Liquors, 7/31/15

Aroma: The nose is chocolate, caramel, some light roasted coffee, and a hint of dark fruit
Appearance: Its dark brown in color with a frothy, fizzy brown head, and streaky lace
Flavor: The taste gets a little more chocolaty and roasty, with the rest of the components fading to the background. Not a ton of sweetness, with more of an unsweet coffee / dark chocolate type of bitterness.
Palate: Light-medium bodied for the style, average-plus carbonation, and a fairly dry finish
Overall Impression:

Can: Slightly hazed, light gold with a faoamy white head. Barley, straw, scent. Taste is pretty standard Blonde.....though not as sweet or fruited as many....heavier grains.....grass.... Ok, but....typical and boring.

Location: 12 oz can from Winooski Beverage, 7/10/15

Aroma: Strongly caramel and diacetyl, some spoiled fruit, earthy hops, and a bit of rye/spice
Appearance: It pours a murky orange color, with a small off white head and minimal lace
Flavor: The flavor is just as offensive as the aroma, probably more so with the same components
Palate: The body is medium, with a soft carbonation, slightly off feel, and a little dry
Overall Impression: I have to hope this was a bad can our something, because this one smells and tastes like something went wrong. Lots of off notes make this one closer to a drain pour than a winner unfortunately. I've had much better Foolproof beers, so I know they can do much better than this.
