Bottle shared at Kernel. It pours hazy brown with a thick beige head. The nose is rich, brown bread, mild spice, caramel, fruit cake, honey, raisin and sultana. The taste is bitter, roasty, earth, cocoa, caramel, brown bread, spice, drying, raisin, leather , light spice and dirt with a dry finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Good flavour for abv. Tasty.

Bottle shared at the Kernel - thanks to Paul. Pours unclear, dirty amber-gold with a frothy off-white head. The nose has some dry rye grains, brown bread, aged berries. Light sweet flavor with more dried grains, some minerals, toasted bread, more old berries. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderate sweetness on the finish, toast, leaves, dry toffee, pine and rye spice. Not bad.

Bottle split at Mother Arch, thanks to L-Doge, 29/11/14. Hazed orange amber with a big old egg shell white head. Nose is citric peel, light plastic notes, apricot jam, straw, earthy, orange rind. Taste comprises tangerine, citric rinds, light bread dough, more apricot jam, mandarin. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok, could do with a lick more hops tho’ !

500ml bottle from saucy pears. Worcester. Deep burnt orange colour with an off white head. Marmalade aroma with that touch of pine. The taste has more of both with wood resin.

Bottle from Corks of North Street, Bristol. Deep amber and murky in appearance, with a decent, off-white, head. Sweetish aroma with some citrus and a hint of mosaic oddness. Flavour had some orange fruit, rye earthiness and a moderately dry finish. Ok.

Sweet bready malts, marmalade fruit and citrus hop aroma. Flavour offered more of the same, with an earthy edge and dry, slightly rasping finish with a hint of pine. Ok.

Bottle from Brewer’s Droop, Bristol. Amber, with a slight, off-white head, and plenty of fizz. Citrus fruit, green apple and slightly earthy malt aroma. Flavour had tangerine and pineapples, fairly dense cereal malts and a dryish finish. Good.

500ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb - cheers Ash! Pours murky golden amber, thin white head. Aromas of melon, grapefruit, pine. Taste is chewy hop resin, quite bitter. Lacks balance, but not bad.

Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - cloudy amber with a think lacy head. Nose - grapefruit, even some pineapple. Taste - blood orange or pink grapefruit. A slightly heavy hop resin note too. Palate - light to medium bodied with a dry tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - possibly just a bit too bitter for my palate but decent.

Bottle from Brewer’s Droop, Bristol. Jet black and opaque, with a long-lasting tan head. Big roasted notes, some plain chocolate, a touch of dark fruit, finishing with a citrus hop kick. Excellent.
