Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Paul. Hazy deep brown beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry. Modest carbonation. Light malt with touches of vanilla and chocolate powder. Light finish. Not really hitting it’s ibjective but pleasant enough.

Bottle from Bottledog. Pours murky brown, taste is light and sessionable. Soft mango, lime and pineapple all merge with a milky tropical character while a lean bitterness gently eases in. Nice stuff.

330ml bottle. Pours dark orange brown with a small head. Aroma is strong pine and pineapple. Taste is mostly sticky hop oils with some caramel in the finish.

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, thanks to Paulinho S Copey, 12/06/14. Lightly hazed golden amber with a moderate light beige swirl. Nose is ripe citrics, pine jacketee, caramel malt base, orange pith, grapefruit. Taste comprises bitter orange, straw, caramel, grapefruit, candied fruit peel, not quite as good as the aroma. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough amber.

Bottle shared Well & Bucket. It pours hazy red-amber with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is fresh, fruity, orange, satsuma, marmalade, sherbet and tango. The taste is crisp, citric, big orange character, tangerine pine, varnish, pink grapefruit with a bitter, citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Rather quaffable orange amber.

Tasting at the ever gracious ChrisO’s. Light haze, gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and dry, fine carbonation. Light dry malts and light minerals. Light dry orangey hops, touches of pith and peel. Light dry finish.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Paul and Lorna. Pours mostly clear, light amber with a bubbly white head. The nose holds moist bread, some orange, wood. Light-medium sweet flavor with cedar wood, dried citrus, light rindy and piney bitterness. Medium bodied but a touch thin, with fine carbonation. Lightly sweet to finish, some minerals, pine, more orange rind. OK.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is sweet, roasty, creamy, vanilla milkshake, cocoa and earth. The taste is bitter-sweet, roasty, toast, milk chocolate, vanilla, mild acidity and cola with a dry, earthy finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. A touch thin if truth be told. Smells pretty good, but body doesn’t deliver.

Draft. A black beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt leading to a dry roasted finish.

Bottle from Corks of North Street, Bristol. Copper coloured, with a decent, off-white head. Citrus fruit and hop aroma, with a touch of caramel and earthy malt aroma. Easy drinking, with solid, almost bready malts, more fruit and a decent, bitter finish. Very good.
