75 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 20.03.2010
Aroma is hoppy with citrus, exotic fruits and caramel. Flavour is a bit disappointment after that – it feels a bit thin with toffee, caramel, some fruity hops and biscuits. A bitter in American way.

75 cl bottle @ Hervanta as ”Moor Peat Porter”, 4,7%. Rated on 27.03.2010
Aroma is quite light with some ashy and peaty notes. Flavour has ash, some slightly salty licorice, peat and hints of herbs. A bit thin and the peaty notes are too strong.

Opaque dark brown beer. Ghost of a tan head. Light dry palate. Smooth with a touch of fine carbonation. Nice fresh tasting dark malt with well integrated dark chocolate and mild coffee. The apple brandy is also well integrated and not overwhelming. The brandy spice is more obvious than the subtle apple. Touch of bubblegum ester. Finishes dry. Nicely joined up.

Cask at the Ravensbourne Arms, Lewisham. Burnt orange coloured pour with a white head. Caramel, tangerine and pineapple aroma. Sweet fruit action in the flavour, a splash of pineapple and satsuma in there. Tasty stuff.

Bottle at home (Beermerchants.com) 05/01/13. Mid black with a decent tan head that thins but retains. Nose is piney, hoppy, mineral tones, cocao nibs. Taste comprises hops, chocolate, light soap, pine, minerals, trace of liqourice. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and some hop bitterness in the finish. Great stuff - a really tasty hopped up stout for 4.7%!

Medium sweet flavor, some crisp brown bread, sharp smoke light ham, some minerals. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Crisp finish, light sweetness, bright minerals, moderate smoke and ham.

Small patchy white head. Slightly hazy yellow body. Dusty ashy herbal aroma with grassy notes. Dry ashy herbal taste with grassy notes. Mid-to-thin body. Slightly harsh, abrasive mouthfeel. Dry aftertaste is mostly the same, with fruity resiny notes. Nice but a bit harsh and bland. (0.66l bottle, Håndverkerstuene, Oslo.)
