Gravity cask at Maidstone BF. Black colour beige head. Choc/coffee/liquorice aromas, good in mouth with drying finish and some dark fruit. Good strong dark beer which doesn’t allow the strength to over run it.

Black beer. Head is dark brown with reddish hue, and rather short-lived. Very vinous nose, some solvent (red) grapey, some smoked notes, like firewood. Good! Sharp, sourish taste, woody & piney (resin). [Beer is a few months past its BBd date, but at 7+ ABV...]. Again very vinous, touch of lactic, acetic, and some other acid - malonic? - not sure. Esters à volonté . Unripe fruit (green plums especially) and a bit of tobacco. Sharp, but not adstringent, some dry out effect. Medium to well-bodied. Like it. Very vinous beer.

Opaque black, nice expresso head. Very fruity nose: strawberry fileds aroma and trefoil. Quite light bodied, session beer porter. Balanced but watery. Flavor has flowery English hops and it finishes to slightly roasted taste.
