355ml can. Minimally milky, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, white head. Citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, low-key pale malty background, zesty hints of mandarine, orange, pomelo, some lemon, a basic layer of unripe yellow stone fruit. Taste is crisp, bitter, citrusy fruity hoppy, slightly biscuity, pale malty basis, zesty notes of orange, mandarine, some lemon, hints of salty cracker, a touch of unripe yellow stone fruit, some residual sweetness. Oily-watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Relatively discrete flavour profile, but nothing too special of course - decent.

Best Maid - Sour Pickle Beer
Can at annual Fryslân tasting. Clear yellow color, no head. Aroma is absolutely dreadful, I can't even describe this. Absolutely makes me puke instantly. Flavor is similar. Sourness and pickles. Oh. My. God. This is the worst I've ever had in my life. Period. 4-1-1-3-1
Kesbeke tafelzuur in een glas… augurkenvocht, vreselijk ranzig, thanks Robert

Smell-malt, caramel, chocolate, faint cake, faint wood. Foam- thin to medium, caramel, sweet, faint alcohol. Head is Appearance- nice can design, I like it. Beautiful dark brown head, small to medium, ok medium. Black in color. From - pint Taste - malt, caramel, sweetness, chocolate, faintly acidic tones mixed with faint roast, and more chocolate, malt. Alcohol in the background, but decently hidden. Good.

Smell-medium to strong, chocolate, cake, cacao, faint malt, sweetness. Foam-thick, malty, chocolate, sweet, caramel, syrup. Head is medium-sized, dark brown in color. Appearance- cool label and beer name. Black in color. From - pint Taste - sweet, chocolate, sweetness, cake, caramel, syrup. Sweet pasty stout with a bunch of chocolate notes mixed in alcohol do creep a tiny bit, but I think its covered quite good. Good stuff, if you like sweet.

Thanks for the can, Chad! Pours black, with a fair, foamy, tan head. The aroma is mellow coffee, heavy marshmallow, milk chocolate, vanilla, and walnut. Sweet and decadent. Heavy, syrupy, and chewy. Beautiful and delicious.

Can at Grrrowlers, like the artwork. Pint glass. Dirty black, opaque, heady pour. Oily peanut & coco, amaretto nose. Peanut extract dust, dark chocolate, sharp malt, oily finish, industrial. Dense, very slight, lingering herbal bite, sweet & base overall. Kinda good, 2 for 2 today.

On tap at the Thirsty Growler. Matte black with brown highlights, thin cocoa head. Obvious chocolate pillow mint nose. Flavor is, menthol & stiff dark chocolate, a little bolder than the candy. Stiff booze, strong menthol, coffee edge to the chocolate, minty numbness. I usually get nauseated at Martin House concoctions but this one is pretty damn good.

A 12 oz can purchased at a Total Wine in Austin. Another IPA, let’s see if this one stands out in some way. I mostly bought it because of Martin House. Flipped the top and tilting into a Belgian-style glass, that’s how I roll tonight. An indistinct gold-yellow body finished by a light skim of white foam. It smells lightly of hops, grain and honey from somewhere. The drink, well, okay I guess. Citrus to a degree, some hoppiness with an accompanying small bitterness, grain and varnish. Average, maybe less, within the style.

12 ounce can from Tavour. Medium gold pour. Frothy white head. Briney malt aroma. Flavor is intensely sour with hints of pickling spices. Pineapple flavor is well hidden. Salty notes. Interesting.
