Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Trader Joe's. Appearance is clear dark brown/mahogany with trace sparkle, 1/2-finger width fizzy off-white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, vanilla. Taste is roasted, slightly burnt, malts with mild vanilla. Palate is medium bodied with thick, smooth texture but the whole drinking experience is dominated by an overly-carbonated fizzy level with sweet, caramel finish. Overall, carbonation dominates the experience though not high marks to begin with. Skippable.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Trader Joe's, Nashua. Appearance is clear amber with tons of sparkle, finger-width creamy head with fair retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is dank basement, bread, floral. Taste is bread, slightly nutty, dank earth with hint of fruit. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, lively carbonation and dry, crisp finish without much flavor. Overall, more malt forward than hops. To be fair, this is slightly outside the range for hops freshness (born 8/30/17) but based on other reviews this may just be a slightly odd IPA.

Bought in NH. Clear gold pour with an off-white head and fair retention. No lacing. Light lager body with a light blueberry flavor. Semi-flat mouthfeel. Everything is subdued. Easy drinking. Unremarkable but refreshing.

Draught @ the source. Clear brown with slightly reddish tint, very small frothy beige head, sweetish caramel malt aroma, low carbonation, mildly bitter caramel/roasted malt taste, thin body, long medium bitter finish. Not very enticing.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt amber color with a nice finger’s worth of white foamy head. Slow dissipation. Sly messy lacing.
The aroma had some crisp semi-sweet biscuity to nutty malts. Some grassy hops, slight earthiness.
The flavor combined the nuts, biscuits and grassy hops somewhat bitter but sweet. Sly malty aftertaste. Quick wet nutty smooth finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Crisp maltiness lays down on my tongue, feels good.
Overall, good amber ale worthy of more pours.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a black color with a finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that dissipated evenly leaving some speckled lace.
The aroma had some roasty coffee bean with some sweet and spicy black licorice. Roasted nuts. Caramel tones.
The flavor leaves some sweet to roasty coffee beans and milk chocolate sweetness flowing underneath a huge amount of caramel and toffee malts. Slick malty aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Roastiness seems tame along my tongue but caramel malts seem to feel slick.
Overall, weird porter, as if there’s too much caramel malts going on. Not necessarily one I would come back to.
