Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear gold pour with a medium, foamy white head. Faint aroma of toasted malts and grass. Flavor is lightly sweet with a big smoke character. Not dark and roasty, more like burning dry wood or something. Some nice, bitter notesd of earth and grass. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Nice duration smoke finish, toasty malts, lingering earth hops. Solid stuff here.

Warning! Early amateur rating! On tap at the Sun Inn - Kelvedon. Quite a bit of toasted malt although the palate is not thick. Hard work to start with but got better when I got used to the level of toasted malt.
