Almost certainly the same beer as Farmers Ales Biere Champagne (which is not on RB but is on untappd), as that beer was out about the same time and was ’Champagned at Mersea vineyard’. Added this as English Strong but it’s hard to find the right style for these big champagne beers. Not really Saison, Belgian Strong or Barleywine - so compromised on English Strong,
Bright clear gold beer, big fluffy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly dry and nicely crisp. Light sweet malt base, trace of cream. Nice champagne vibe in the mid with the gentlest savoury edge. Mellow fruits on the back end that turn a little sharper toward the light crisp finish. Hides the abv completely. Drank the whole 750 and enjoyed every mouthful. Lovely stuff. If they could add new world hop character, it could be exceptional.

Sampled @ GBBF day 2. Dark amber to red brown color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, a bit medicinal (only in the aroma) slightly leaves, slightly metallic, lightly bitter. Interesting, things I like about it and thing I don’t like about it.
