500ml bottle, batch 014, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Trondheim. Next to clear amber colored body. Hazy last pour. Patchy beige head, spotty lacing. Sappy aroma of red orange and lemon. Fresh hoppy taste of grass and citrus joined by a touch of herbs. Could not spot the raisin. Mid-dry, fruity bitterness to the ending. Easy to drink. Soft and moreish (Tromsø 08.05.2015).

Bottle 500ml. @ Carnival Tasting 2015, Denmark. [ As Lysefjorden Red IPA ].Light unclear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus, fruity, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, hoppy, pale malt, fruity, plastik - smoke notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150228]

Poured from a 500ml bottle, batch nr. 011, that I bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Trondheim. Golden body, slightly hazy. White tophead, fragile lacing. Lemony hops on the nose. Fresh fruit hoppy flavours, including lemon and grapefruit, leading to a dry bitter finish. Natural soft carbonated. Drinks well. Food friendly with the Sunday pizza (Tromsø 26.04.2015).

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Black colour, large beige head. Pleasant aroma, a blend of roasty notes and piney and grapefruity hops. The medium dry flavour has roast malts with coffee notes, followed by distinct hops with notes of pine needles and spruce tips, hints of grapefruit.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Hazy brownish-orange-amber colour, moderate off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma, distinct notes of pine and spruce, also grapefruit. Medium dry flavour, pine needles and grapefruit, reasonably bitter. No obvious faults, this new brewery apparently has got a good grip of what they’re doing.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 20.04.15. Black. Dense and persistent pale brown head and lacing. Fine aroma of American hops, lime and citrus, with a hint of black malt lingering in the background. Taste is well balanced between dark malt and American hops. Complex. Well within the style.

Fra flaske på en super M2 Cardinal april-15: God futt i åpningen gir flott (beige) skum. Nr. 2 til å rate denne. Balansert bitterhet både i aroma og smak. Middels kropp og delikat ettersmak med litt bærsødme.

Fra flaske på M2 april-15: uklar lys kobber. Simcoe-katten har lagt sine spor i aromaen. Fint karbonert og mildt humlet smak og ettersmak med (tørkede) tropiske frukter. En lettdrikkelig og god ipa! Den første til å rate denne.
