Bottle, batch 13. Pours light brown, with a small creamy head. Aroma is initially quite sharp citrusy bitter, as well as sweet roasted malts with bread and toffee. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is spicy and floral with orange peel, as well as roasted malts with grain and biscuits. Unfortunately there are noticeable stale, sulfidic off flavours throughout the finish.

50cl bottle from Gulating Ølutsalg, Strømmen. Pours hazy deep amber with an off-white head. Fairly fruity and hoppy aroma with tropical fruits, citrus, caramel and hints of pine, yeast and herbs. Moderate to medium sweet with pleasant fruity flavours and a decent bitterness. Medium bitter aftertaste with notes of citrus. Medium body with carbonation on the soft side. Quite refreshing, but not completely convincing.

Bottle. An unclear, orange-golden beer with a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is very peachy with pink grapefruit and some pine cones. Some light caramel maltyness. A bit too low on carbonation, medium bodied and quite dry, with flavors of peaches, some caramel malts and pink grapefruit. Pleasant bitterness too, lasting for a while. Some more carbonation would do good, but it’s a decent one anyway. 150228

Aromatischer Geruch von Gras. Bitter grasig im Antrunk, dabei geringfügig süß. Die Aromen bleiben konstant, es wird nur etwas trockener. Gut! 10/11/12/11/10/11

50cl bottle from Gulating Ølutsalg, Strømmen. Pours hazy brown with some reddish notes and an off-white head. Hoppy and moderate malty aroma with licorice, some fruity notes, pine, citrus and hints of caramel and roasted malt. Moderate to medium sweet with nice hoppy flavours and a pleasant bitterness. A nice surprise and quite different from the usual to sweet and caramelly Christmas beers in shop strength. Wouldn’t mind more of this. Quite sessionable too.
