Two pint take out from the Bree Louise from a 20 litre bag-in-box (bought on Thursday and ejoyed first pour of this at home today to toast the pubs last trading day before closing). Poured pale gold with an amber tint, almost clear, and with a small bubbly short lasting white head. Aroma of rhubarb and vanilla custard, with light toffee apple notes. Very sweet with just the faintest sour. Medium body, oily and watery texture, flat carbonation. Not sure it needed to be quite this sweet but that aside pretty decent.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours unclear gold, no head. Fair bit of vanilla in the snout, some lemon custard, subtle rhubarb, minimal apple. Hugely sweet flavour, somewhat syrupy, certainly toothache-inducing, with more creamy custard, lightly tangy lemon, some dough, a little apple sauce, bourbon, vanilla. Medium to full bodied, lightly chewy, soft and oily. Sugary and sticky in thw finish, wih more creamy vanilla and American bourbon character, more custard and boiled rhubarb, puréed apples. Wow, intense. As one of the other eaters notes, this is like drinking a dessert. A couple ounces would almost certainly suffice for most of the populace.
