Nonic pint draft at the Fate Brewing South in Scottsdale, Arizona. The pour is a clear golden with a well formed 1 inch white head. Nice splotches of lace left behind on the glass. The aroma is a fresh grass citrus, resin grass hop along with a bit of cracker malt. The taste is the fresh hops clean fruit orange, grass and the clean cracker malt resin towards the finish. The palate is light bodied with soft carbonation. Easy drinking beer, just what I was looking for.

Draught at Fate South, 12/28/15.
Lightly hazy apricot-golden body is well-carbonated and has a small, off-white head atop that slowly fades to cover.
Apricot in the nose is well-done; no huge sweetness or anything artificial. Light earthiness, floral notes, bit of acidity and some juicy, citric hops lying in the background. Malts stay out of the way for the most part. No alcohol or flaws.
Dry, for the most part, though gaining a good sweet and sour element through the middle from the malt and apricot interplay. Hops never dominate but are noticeable throughout, adding citrus, grass and juicy fruit flavors. Apricot flavor is just where you’d want it; not too much of it, yet enough that you definitely know it’s there. Ample carbonation, biscuity/cracker-like malts and no flaws. Works very well, I thought, and I especially like the restraint and authenticity with which the apricots show through.

Draught at Fate South, 12/28/15.
Thoroughly hazy golden-amber body is topped by a white head with moderate-to-strong retention.
Very light smokiness in the nose melds seamlessly with the other phenolics and could be passed off as just a particular phenol from a smokier than average yeast. Light clove, low banana/bubblegum and plentiful maltiness adding light bread, vanilla and honey. No alcohol or flaws.
Malty and well-attenuated, with tight carbonation and very restrained on the undesirable esters/phenols (I hate heavy banana/bubble gum hefes). Smokiness is reserved but still enjoyable, though never does it make the beer seem particularly messy or unfocused. Light citrus and clove, with a soft, well-carbonated, spritzy texture. My favorite of the beers I had while I was there, slightly edging out the hatch chile golden.
