Bag in a box at EBF XV, 09/08/13. Hazed pale yellow akin to weak lemon squash and no head. Nose is light apple, earthy, orachard fruits, sugar. Taste follows, notes of pears and apples, sugars but not overly sweet. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Ok.

Hazy pale golden color. Lovely tannic nose. Very tart lots of tannins and lots of pear and stewed pear notes. Fantastic. Very tannic but sweet balances it out. Wow.

From bag in a box. Pous hazy yellow with a small white. Aroma is peachy and golden yellow with small white head. Sweet, fruity, wooden and light toasted malty. Bitter, mild citric. Smooth fruity into the finish. Wooden and light citric.

Polycask @ The 18th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2012, Reading, Berkshire England.Hazy matt medium yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate apple, baking yeastm apple porridge - mash. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration, apple porridge, apple, thin, gritty, vanilla notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. [20120505]

Bottle that I picked up from Millets Farm, Frilford Heath, Nr Abingdon, Oxon, Saturday 6th April 2013 consumed at home on Thursday 11th April 2013. Pours clear gold with very, very little carbonation. More medium sweet than medium dry, the rum cask ageing leaving a distinctive edge to this, very much pear drops on nose and also in mouth. I have to say that I am not a fan of Rum cask aged beers and therefore assumed that I would feel similarly about this, however it fascinates me. It is a very flavoursome cider, tangy but a sweet tanginess, the sweetness is a little too much at time and I wish there was a little more juicy appleyness.On reflection I think that the Rum cask ageing is doing this a disservice, a very good cider is now not quite so good, message to oneself avoid Rum cask beers, ciders anything like the plague. Bottle 500ml.Unclear matt medium yellow colour, sparkling, with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, sweet red apples, wrinkled apples, white sugar, barnyard notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light light acidic with a long duration, apple porridge, apples. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to lively. [20120502]
