Found a 12 oz can at a Total Wine in Austin earlier this month. The pour will be into an ABGB snifter, fittingly. The appearance is a mostly clear, gold body followed by a large head of almost white foam that settles to a consistent level. A traditional IPA scent, I get a nice hoppy beginning finished by citrus, straw and white bread. I lift the glass for a drink and say, well, this is okay. Cedar pine strongly, lemon, grain, grapefruit, malt, paper and a small but nice toffee sweetness. There's plenty of hops bitterness to go with it all. I had a surprisingly good IPA a couple of days ago, I think this one is better.

27 September 2022. At Stagger Lee & Metcalf BBQ, Austin. Shared with the lovely Anke!
Clear pale golden, thin, white head. Aroma of apple, pear, honey, grain, yeast, bread dough. Taste has sweetish apple, pure malt, dry yeast and bread. Crisp, yeasty finish, some grassy hops. Light body, slick texture, average carbonation. Acceptable.

12 oz. can from Spec's, New Braunfels, TX. Pours a cloudy dark gold color with a white head and very good retention. Decent lacing. Juicy hops aroma, which is weird for a wheat ale. The taste follows the nose. Pretty standard wheat ale base with strong citrus notes and a light hops finish. Medium body and carbonation. Good crossover beer for a hot day.

12 oz. can from Spec's, New Braunfels, TX. Pours a clear deep mahogany color with a large beige head and great retention. Very good lacing. Dark malt and faint chocolate aroma. The flavor is all dark roasted malt with a hint of coffee in the finish. Low carbonation and low bitterness. Super smooth and clean. Really good.

12 oz. can from Spec's, New Braunfels, TX. Pours a motor oil black color with a thick, dense light tan head and great retention. Lots of spots of lacing. Black coffee aroma. The taste is all black coffee and a little black coffee bitterness. Unfortunately I'm not a coffee lover. The 8.5% ABV is very well hidden other than the warming finish. Thick enough mouthfeel. Well made; Just not my flavor profile.

On tap at East Tiger North. Pours a hazy dull orange with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has papaya, mango and citrus with a touch of sweet grain supporting. Flavor has citrus rind and dank citrus up front with a touch of mango in the finish.
