Bottleshare at CBJ. Thanks to LKS. Near clear amber brown beer, small tan head. Airy and fairly dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Alright chocolate malts, slightly bitter. Mild pine. Ripe fruits on the back end. Quite a dry finish. Too dry but flavoursome.

Bottled shared at CBJ - picked up in MA. Pours deep brown with a creamy, beige head. Medium sweet flavour, somewhat dry, bit oxidised, dried berries, prunes, raisins, toasted wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, dry and fruity. Drinkable but fairly tame.

This 12 oz bottle came from the inventory of Half Time. A fortunate acquisition since I have read on the internet that Brewmaster Jack is currently no longer operating. So, to quote Stevie Wonder, the writing is on the wall. I lift the cap off and pour approximately 1/3 of the bottle into my ABGB snifter. It shows towards the dark end of the quadrupel spectrum. A very small head, it is a light tan what there is of it. An aggressive smell, there is a strong amount of ripe dark fruit, cane syrup and just a touch of grain. A drink eases up from the scent and gives tastes of raisins, wheat bread, malt and berries for some reason, slightly sourish. A bottle in decline I am afraid. Still I am glad to have had a sample and wish Jack the best.

Can at home [thanks Kevin!]. Clear golden color with a medium sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, classic hoppiness, basically nothing fancy, just a solid hoppiness and decent bitterness. Compared to present day hipster popular NEIPA'S this is insanely bitter, while in fact it has a decent bitterness and for a DIPA doesn't have a lot of resinous or piney hops. At least those don't dominate. To be fair it is double dry hopped according to the label. Anyway, pretty much ok. I like of.

Draught at Torst: pours dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is wood and whisky and dark fruitiness. Taste is definitely more on the dark fruity side (plum, fig) than it is on the whisky side but there is a note. Body is very light for the large size.

Bomber from Tavour. Dark brown body, collar of foam. Aromma serms to come off as too swert, but taste puts it back on track . It is still very sweet, prunes, plums and raisins. Kind of sticky. But not too boozy.
