Can from the Orchard. Clear copper pour, with no head. Aroma. Is fresh cut macintosh apples, floral, slightly citrusy hops, and some apple skins. Crisp mouth feel, lively carb. The finish is dry, and slightly bitter with some tartness with fresh cut apples and next to no sweetness. I loved it!!

2011 vintage, bottle from the winery. Very dark copper, bordering on brown. Aroma is crazy sweet, loads of fresh strawberry juice, and some caramelized apples. Thick, oily mouth feel, long legs on the glass. Finish is very sweet, a great balace between the strawberries and apples. Grab a handfull of fresh strawberries and fresh cut macintosh apples and smash em together with some sticky honey, and you get this. Wicked stuff!

2008 vintage, bottle from the winery. Dark copper pour, lots of legs on the glass. Aroma is alot of chipotle, light smoke, and some spice with the apples emparting some sweetness, and a big black pepper aroma rounding it out. Body is thick and luscious, and a tad oily. The finish is very warm, bordering on hot. Finish is quite sweet, with alot of heat and carmelized apples rounding it out. Very, very interesting.

Bottle from the winery. Aroma is quite spicy, lots of. Nutmeg, and cardamon, with some cinnamon, reminds me of nutmeg mixed with iced cider. Finish is quite sweet, and the spices dominate to the point where the only thing the apples and honey add is sweetness. Dangerously drinkable for 10%.

2010 Vintage, bottle from the winery. Dark copper pour, long legs on the glass. Aroma is super sweet apples of course, with big notes of caramel, and some subtle spice. Mouth feel is heavy and luscious, and oily. Finish is satisfying, and is an incredible sipper. Sweet, but manages to not be cloying, with some nice soft spice. Amazing stuff.

Oakes' Manor tasting, corked; vintage 2007, 10 years old
Amber color. Smell of cookies and glue. Sweet, some mead, light fruity touch, some chemicals, strong alcohol, vanilla.
Rough product, boozy and sweet (this is ok), but also undesirable chemicals.

750ml bottle at Josh's on his 20k party. Pours a clear golden. Aroma is sweet with apples and mead notes. Taste is similar with some slight spices. This is very good and silky.

Golden colour. This has a rich honeyish aroma, on the palate there's a lot of alcohol, sweet, soft honey, and this isn't bad. Has a touch of fruitiness, which comes across like the honey is unfermented. Quality, rich mead.

750mL bottle, pours a clear golden caramel colour. Aroma is very boozy, with lots of honey, alcohol, and toffee. Flavour is very fortified, with lots of honey, alcohol, caramel and whiskey. Woody and boozy, with a decadent sweetness and booziness on the finish. Excellent.
