2010 vintage. 375mL bottle, pours a pretty clear brandy-like caramel colour. Nose is luxurious, with loads of caramel apple sweetness, pineapple and a subtle tartness underneath. Flavour is similar, with caramelized apple and pineapple sweetness (unusual that this is so pineapple-y), with medium-high sweetness for an ice cider, and absolutely no tartness. Really viscous palate, with a lovely mix of fruits that is unusual for an ice cider. Very decadent stuff. Fantastic, unique one.

Tasting at Matt’s; synthetic cork, vintage 2008, 7 years old, 12% ABV
Measured Final Gravity: 1090

Dark amber color, hazy. A very interesting product, mixing real Ice Cider with mild spices and hot chili peppers, and moderate hotness in the final. Sweet. Unique, original, very good.

2008 Vintage. 375mL bottle, pours a clear butterscotch orange with no head. Nose brings out notes of butterscotch, some liqueur, bananas, herbal notes and apples. Flavour is complex, with notes of tobacco, herbal apples notes, light smoke, stone fruits, and spices. Dominated by the tobacco notes, but also complemented by the spiciness and herbal spiciness. Certainly a unique ice wine.

Bottle shared in Hoboken - thanks to Andy. Pours clear, deep gold. The nose holds rich, ripe apples, hints of pepper, a bit of dry smoke. Hugely sweet with lots of ripe, juicy apple, then a big smack of chili pepper burn. Full bodied, oily. Hot chili burn on the finish with undertones of sugary, ripe apples and hints of caramelised sugars. Quite novel, but the chili heat is too much for me.

Can - Earthy and slightly tart apple. Bubbly gold with no head. Tart and lightly sweet apple. The hop is there in the background, but would be better if more pronounced. Still nice though.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color cider. Nose of peppercorn and hot peppers is offset by some sweet apple notes. Taste is also dominated by loads of peppercorn notes with quite a bit of heat from the hot peppers. Sweetness is able to balance some of the heat but not enough to make this really drinkable.
