Had this at Sammamera, Freising Tuesday 27th May 2025, it's Bingo night tonight and I am not doing very well 😞. I've had the Burger and Chips and Loz has had Fish and Chips, both great but Loz's was better. Pours hazy gold with a mid sized white head. A little bit on the sweet side, thick, nice mouthfeel, some honey flavours, malty but decent.

Bottle, I haven't a clue where I got this from, maybe last time we were in Hesse en route to a festival in 2022 I think? Had this Saturday 24th May 2025 sat in the living room after a hard day of gardening work. We're watching Peripheral on Amazon Prime after Steak Burritos in the wood oven sat outside on the new patio area. Pours black, slim off white head, chocolate and fruit on the nose a clear fruity tang (blackcurrant) in the mouth. Soft mouthfeel, easy drinking for the abv, decent stout that despite being out of date tasted absolutely fine.

Bottle picked up from Zichovec Webshop. Had this at home Thursday 22nd May 2025, listening to Deb Grant and Tom Ravenscroft, New Music Fix on 6Music. We had Gnocchi with Smoked Ham, Peas and Tarragon for tea. Pours dark brown with absolutely no head, not clear. Beef stock on the nose, also boozy on the nose. It's sweet in the mouth, also bitter, but heavy and cloying, I'm not quite sure about this, I really wouldn't know that it's a massively ramped up Saison, it just tastes like a big boozy mess. I really like Zichovec but this is a swerve for me, I won't finish it.

Bottle courtesy of Jonas and Ursula, cheers guys. Had this at home Thursday 22nd May 2025, listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music, it's Round Table tonight. Pours yellow without a head, in fact the carbonation is very muted. Aroma was alarmingly a bit vinegary so I thought the worst but I guess gherkins are pickled so this probably explains that. Dry, tart, acidic but the dill adds a nice touch to this, sharpish and the vinegar touch on the nose isn't present in the mouth. Would be lovely on a warm summers day, but regardless it's nice today.

Can courtesy of Nick and Anna, cheers guys. Had this Wednesday 21st May 2025. I've been working out in the garden all day, completed the extension to the new patio area. We had Asparagus Bechamel and Smoked Ham Lasagna for tea, it was great. Listening to New Music Fix on 6Music. Pours hazy mid yellow with a large white head. I guess that this was always going to be unusual and it certainly is, the Mango jumps out, it's got a very soft mouthfeel. I was not expecting to like this but I do.

Can courtesy of Jonas and Ursula, many thanks guys. Had this Wednesday 21st May 2025.I actually thought that I'd had this one but was very pleased to try it again, however it would appear I've not had it. I've been working out in the garden all day, completed the extension to the new patio area. We've got Asparagus Bechamel and Smoked Ham Lasagna for tea. Not decided on the music yet. Pours hazy yellow/gold with a large sticky white head. Classic Oils, dry, crisp, great bitterness and with a great drinkabilty, really good. Nice carbonation, a little streaky bittersweet citrus touch. Very, very nice.

Picked up a six pack of these from REWE or Edeka, I forget which, consumed over the last week including Monday 19th May 2025 when working on patio in the garden. Pours silver/gold, dullish hazy appearance with a large white head. Lemony and a muted beeryness, that said it's refreshing and quite pleasant.

Bottle courtesy of Jonas, many thanks Jonas! Has this at home Monday 19th May 2025 after another day of hard work in the garden. We had an omelette for tea followed by Meringue nests with Strawberries and Ice Cream. The beer pours deep amber/light chestnut, good clarity, large off white head. This is a very straightforward malt driven beer, lots of toffee and caramel, a light bitterness and pleasant warmth from the abv. It's a bit of a one trick pony, however it's a good beer that I'd happily return to.

Bottle courtesy of Jonas, thanks Jonas for this. Had this at home Sunday 18th May 2025 listening to Snapped Ankles - Hard Times Furious Dancing and Loz is cooking bread and soon we'll be cooking Calzone Pizza. Pours mid brown with a little bit of haze and an off white head. Some dark sugars in the mouth, caramel also but a good dose of bitterness, soft mouthfeel, really nice carbonation. A little bit more restrained than the Heller Bock from Ziegler Bräu that I'd had before. There is a really nice interplay between the sweetness and bitterness. Very nice.
