Bottle picked up from a Getrankemarkt in Günzburg and consumed at home Wednesday 24th September 2025 listening to ByteFM and cooking Courgette Rotolo with a Lemon and Herb Ricotta Stuffing. Pours gold but interestingly not too hazy, yeastiness is there but not so much as to change the appearance. Large white head but this disappeared quite quickly. Taste is pretty good, usual Hefeweisse characteristics but a bit on the sweet side. Nice soft mouthfeel, a little bannoffee.

We visited here Wednesday 10th September 2025 after a walk from Camp Vugec plac 2-3kms out of town, in fact we'd passed this on our way into town and I hadn't even noticed that it was a brewpub as the greater part of it stretching back appears to be a casino. We visited this on our return to the campsite after visiting Bor Bar and Scout Club Irish Pub and after a truly shocking day weather wise, it had brightened up a little and we were able to sit outside here. This pub is sort of on a junction where a smaller road peels off to one side and the main road in the general direction of Zagreb (the road where the buses go). Service could have been a little more friendlier, the female staff member really seemed like she'd got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning. However on the plus side, it was quite a nice place, though I didn't spend long inside and there were a few folk here. The beers were very reasonably priced, however they were very average at best. We sat there for a while, the owner appeared to be sat just on front of us chatting to a friend. I think that if I was in the area, I would do what we did and move onto Keiths which is a bar further along the road.

Bottle picked up from a getrankemarkte in Gunzburg and consumed at home Tuesday 23rd September 2025. Pours clear gold slim/mid sized white head, aroma ok but seems like a little stale beer note coming through, it isn’t btw, taste is fresh and with the usual non alcohol traits, it’s ok, taste lingers and it’s a little metallic.

Bottle picked up from Bierkiste, München (I think?) consumed at home Saturday 20th September 2025 sat outside on the patio listening to New Model Army - Unbroken and about to cook Spicy Fish Moroccan Meatballs. Pours hazy gold with a white head that didn't hang around, nice bite, fruity, dry with some grassy hops, nice mouthfeel, there's a little bit of citrus.

We visited here Thursday 11th September 2025, this was towards the end of Fins self guided walk around Zagreb that he'd downloaded, but by this point we'd seen enough churches, markets and other historical places of interest and simply needed a beer. It's located fairly centrally, in fact not so very far from Valhalla though up the hill. I think that the furnicular railway is close by and was actually on our tour but as mentioned we'd seen enough by this point.

It's offers a view of the city from a nice vantage point, but it was a hot day so whilst sitting outside we remained a little back from the edge to benefit from the sunshades.

I had to go in to get served, where there was a small but solid selection of Croatian craft and a fridge to the right with some additional choices. I think that we both had Nova Runda and both were v.good. We got chatting to a nice couple from the UK who coincidentally were stopping at the same campsite as us, however they found it trickier getting into town as they had two dogs, Bedlington terriers I believe. It's a nice place to chill, there's all sorts of random art stuff scattered about, nice vibe, like it, thanks once again to Marko for the recommendation.

On tap at Purkmister Sun in a Glass Bierfest, Purkmister brewpub, Plzeń, Friday 19th September 2025 after a walk from our campsite at Škodaland Plzeń into the city then back out after a couple of beers in the city. Pours dark brown edging towards black, peeling away to lighter brown at the edges after the off white head started to drift away. Roasty nose but also a little resinous. Roasty in the mouth, hoppy, streaky resinous, bitter, nice mouthfeel, it's a good beer.

Pours hazy gold with a white head. This has a very good thrusty tartness, sour and zappy but not overly so, it's good.

Pours clear bright gold with a white head. This is a very nice APA, there's a nice brisk, crispy bite, bitterness, citrus leading to a meandering dry finish.
