Amber with a thin, frothy head. Aroma a mix of grains, grass, and caramel. Taste is bitter with peppery and herbal tones. Long, bitter finish with a clean if somewhat rustic feel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, refreshing. Good on a hot day by the grill.

Pale gold with a frothy, white head. Lemony aroma. Grains. A touch of honey. Taste is mildly bitter with fry, chalky undertones. Increasing caramel sweetness at the end. Medium bodied, moderate to mild carbonation. Drinkable. Uninspired.

Pale gold with white floaters and a frothy, white head. Floral aroma, grainy. Taste is bitter with faintly tart undertones. Body to the light side of medium, moderate carbonation. Innocuous. Ok.

Amber with a foamy head of modest duration. Aroma of apricot and mixed grains. Yeasty, dank undertones with a touch of caramel. Taste is bitter, finishing with a moderate spice. Slight warmth at the end, but the alcohol stays fairly well hidden. Medium to full bodied, good chewiness. A workmanlike Tripel that never develops beyond the first impression. Not bad though.

Amber with a frothy head of modest duration. Very much a Rauchbier, which I wasn’t expecting. Smells like burnt grains, woodsmoke and Christmas spices. Taste bitter with charred undertones. Lingering burnt grains and spice. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation. Unusual but not in a bad way. Doesn’t rise above the sum of its parts though.

Rather orange with a foamy, white head. Tangerine aroma with cereal undertones. Taste is moderate bitter and mildly citric. Aggressive carbonation—a very fizzy beer. Light but not watery. Decent.

Amber. I’d say the haze, if any, is purely the floaters. Mango aroma. Mild dankness. Taste is bitter over a sweet, chewy body. Long bitter finish. Faint booze warmth at the end. Sampled this one a bit tepid—a bit more chill would have done it good. Not bad.
