330 ml bottle. Pours a dark reddish mahogany with full head. Aromas of bready caramel malts and a bit of spice. Flavors of doughy malts, dark fruit and maybe some oaky whisky. These “infused” beers dont seem to deliver; either too weak or too strong on wood or booze. This one really has no whisky notes and is mostly a malty ale.

330 ml can. Pours a dark copper color with light head. Aromas of toffee, oak, grape must, alcohol and toasted malts. Flavors of same with oak and alcohol leading. Boozy and off balance.

330 ml bottle. 2023 vintage. Replacing 2010 review. Pours an orange/brown with light head. Aromas of toffee, oak, dark fruit, subtle woody red wine and soft wheaty malt. Flavors follow same with a little more wine sweetness. Very nice balance without the balsamic vinegar notes of many old brune. Very good.

330 ml bottle. Pours a reddish brown with full dirty pinkish head. Aromas of sugary cherries and toasted malts with some vegetal notes.flavors are very sweet malty cherries with that odd vegetal stuff going on. Meh.

Small tourist souvenir shop with small selection of Belgian beers. But an interesting selection having a number of new brewery beers that I did not spot elsewhere. Worth a stop.

Large tourist oriented store spread through multiple rooms and two floors. More than just beer; but beer selection is OK representing many Belgian breweries. Very touristy and can be busy but worth a walk through. Can look out at canal when downstairs.

Big modern shop with a huge selection of Belgians, especially some newer breweries. Worth a visit while in the area of the Grote Markt area. Don't expect vintage stuff but la great spot for grabbing something new.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of rich dark chocolate, vanilla, a little fortified red wine, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of dusty dark chocolate, wood, grass and roasted malts. Quite dry. Not getting much of a barrel effect, especially a bit of sweetness from the sherry.
